During the summer of 2001 a guy called Wolfgang Vanwymeersch comes to the city of Ghent on a mission: writing down-to-earth, yet infectious pop and rocktunes. Grounding on his musical roots like them Beatles, early Bowie and Sex pistols, he creates songs that combine sweet catchiness and twisted dirt. He starts recording at home and soon after he finds like-minded musicians to form a band called Waldorf. (Dour Festival 2005)
