Described as "rock and roll aristocracy" (Hammer), Baroness's thick rock sound also borrows heavily from prog, metal, sludge and stoner music. Formed from the ashes of Johnny Welfare and the Paychecks, the group from Savannah, Georgia have released two full-length albums to date, the most recent being Blue Record in 2009. This gained them a lot of critical acclaim. Baroness undeniably have a knack of captivating their audience.
