Gandhi, in case you thought otherwise, is an icon of Belgian rap. In his texts, he denounces urban unrest, which, according to him, recreates all too often dramas that he can no longer relive. Using the pseudonym Gandhi, he doesn't claim to possess the sagacity of the spiritual leader. Rather, for him, it symbolises 'the sagacity of words'. Thanks to his collaborations on many of the most noteworthy Belgian rap compilations, and also to his tracks, copiously downloaded from the internet, Gandhi is now an artist who cannot be ignored in the Belgian hip-hop scene.
