Omar Perry, born in Kingston in 1968 is the son of legendary co-Dour performer Lee 'Scratch' Perry. Welcomed into the music world at the age of 6 after appearing on some of his father's songs, his band split in 1990 and he decided to go alone, working as an engineer on gradually expanding mixing desks. He was in Europe by 2000 making himself a household name, settling in Belgium and in 2003, releasing a single and an album. A natural performer, Omar Perry lights up his stages and his audience. At Dour he will be joined by his band the Homegrown Band to present his new album Can't Stop Us, available in Belgium for the first time at Dour!
