Sinik is Thomas Idir French rapper extraordinaire, who formed the group Amalgame in 1996, a collective which then evolved into Ul'Team Atom. In 2000, after numerous mixtapes, he released Malsain, his first full-length and in 2001 he met Karim and Nabil, with whom he set up the Six o Nine label. In Jauary 2005, he released, Le Main Sur Le Coeur (hand on heart), his first album for Warner which sold more than 200,000 copies. His second album, Sang Froid, came out the following year, and he has since worked collaboratively with Kool Shen, Tnisiano and Kayna. Now Sinik is back with his new album Ballon d'Or which he will present at Dour this year.
