The Mahones, Canada's favourite Irish Punk group formed in 1990 in a bar in Kingston, Ontario. Dublin-born Finny McConnell and Barry Wlliams, with the aid of a substantial amount of Guinness and Jamesons, got the idea to put together a group along the lines of punk legends The Clash, The Pogues and The Who. Now with eight CDs to their name, including various ones with big names in the Irish music game, many of whom they have also toured with (The Dropkick Murphys, Shane MacGowan...). Their latest is called The Black Irish Album. Lock up your daughters...and hide your drinks.
