Now five years on from their debut as young 18 year old upstarts on the album Young For Eternity, The Subways have come a long way and experienced a lot as a band. Following surgery on his vocal chords, singer/guitarist Billy Lunn feared for the very existence of the group, but after a full recovery, The Subways have returned revitalised, reenergised, rejuvenated. With a list of new influences that have appeared over the intervening years, their new music, on the album All Or Nothing (2008), is emotive, full of dynamics and heartfelt lyrics, with the exuberance that gained them their reputation very much present both on disc and live.
